46 Function Reference Version: 1.1112 BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT12.1 Busy Channel LockoutThis function automatically prevents a transmission so asnot to interfere other communications.If a user transmits on a channel while other groups areusing that channel, the user may interfere withcommunications. This function prevents suchinterference.The “BUSY” icon appears on the main display when thePTT switch is pressed while this function is enabled. Thetransceiver emits a Warning Tone and does not transmit.The transceiver emits the Warning Tone until the PTTswitch is released.You can configure the Busy Channel Lockout function foreach channel using the KPG-89D.
