Version: 1.11 Function Reference 7720 DTMFThis transceiver supports DTMF (Dual Tone MultipleFrequency) as a signaling mode.DTMF signaling uses 2 different frequency tonessimultaneously. You can use DTMF for PTT ID, anindividual call, transmit a telephone number to the phoneline, and remotely control the transceiver.DTMF signaling uses 2 different frequencies (the highfrequency and the low frequency) and consists of 0 - 9, A- D, * and # tone.Table 20-1 DTMF Tone Frequency List20.1 Transmitting DTMF TonesThe following methods can be used to transmit the DTMFTones.• Manual Dialing• Store & Send• Keypad PTT• Autodial List Selection20.1.1 Manual DialingThis function allows a user to transmit the DTMF Tones,while transmitting by pressing the PTT switch, whenpressing [0] - [9], [*], and [#] on the Mic Keypad.You can enable/disable the Manual Dialing function usingKPG-89D.! Transceiver Operation1. Press the PTT switch.2. Press the key to transmit the DTMF tone.The transceiver transmits the DTMF tone.3. Repeat step 2 if necessary.! The user can send a string consisting of amaximum of 30 digits.You can enable/disable this function using KPG-89D.Select “DTMF (Autodial)” using the Keypad Auto PTT todisable the PF Autodial key.!
