XN-312-GW-CAN gateways are part of the XN300 system, which,in addition to the gateways themselves, includes several I/O slice modules.These slice modules include both digital and analog I/O modules, as well asvarious technology modules with counting, weighing, and motor drive func-tionalities. These modules can be joined together without the use of tools inorder to form a system block. All XN300 system slice modules communicatethrough the system bus.The system bus is not designed for transmitting safety-relevant signals andmust not be used as a replacement for controllers such as burner, crane, andtwo-hand safety controllers.
