Use the no form of the command to set the linkdebounce time to the default (disabled).Syntaxlink debounce time [ timeout ]no link debounce time• timeout—An integer value in the range of 100–5000 milliseconds. Thetimeout value must be a multiple of 100.Default ConfigurationPhysical interfaces do not have debounce enabled by default.Command ModeInterface (Physical) Configuration mode, Interface Range mode.User GuidelinesThe link bounce time configures a link bounce hysteresis on link loss of link.Loss of link signal starts a link bounce timer. If the link is restored prior toexpiry of the timer, operation continues and the system is not notified thatthat link connectivity has been lost. Hysteresis can be used to mitigate linkflaps caused by bad cabling or partially inserted optics or cables. The debounce timer resolution is approximately 10 ms. Setting a value willstart the timer when loss of link is detected.Ports operating at lower speeds may benefit from debounce values larger thanthe default. Ports operating over fiber generally do not require largerdebounce times.
