Categories are defined by theoperating mode (bridging or routing), and the line protocol in use.Bridging with HDLC Bridge DevicesTo allow a Bridge device to connect to the CyberSWITCH, you must have MAC Layer Bridgingenabled. For each HDLC bridge device using this type of connection, you may need to enter theDevice Name, Calling Line Id, Remote Bridge Ethernet Address, and Password.The following table identifies the configuration requirements for possible security options forremote bridge devices.*Conditionally Required means you must specify at least one of either the Calling Line Id or theEthernet Address. You may specify both.IP Routing with HDLC Bridge DevicesTo allow devices to connect to the CyberSWITCH using IP routing through a Bridge device, youmust configure a RLAN Interface.
