Small Office Remote Access Switch 377PROBLEM DIAGNOSISIP Routing Over Interface ConnectionsAction:1. Verify that the remote IP Host can access the LAN interface of the CyberSWITCH. If it can,continue with the next step.If the remote Host is unable to access the LAN interface, refer to the preceding problem andaction.2. The remote IP Host connected to a WAN (Direct Host) interface should be recognized as if itwere located on the local Ethernet. Refer to Verifying IP Routing Over a LAN Interface in theSystem Verification chapter.IP ROUTING OVER A WAN RLAN INTERFACE CONNECTIONProblem:The remote IP Host connected to a WAN RLAN interface on the CyberSWITCH does not receive aping response from the CyberSWITCH WAN RLAN interface.Action:1. Verify that the WAN connection is up. Use themc console command to display the MonitorConnections screen. Check for the connection. If the connection is up, then continue with thenext step.If the connection is not up, refer to Remote Device Connectivity.2. Verify that the WAN RLAN interface is properly initialized. Use theipnetif command (aManage Mode command) to check for the proper WAN RLAN interface. If the proper WANRLAN interface exists, then continue with the next step.If the proper interface does not exist, use CFGEDIT to make the necessary corrections.3. Check that the IP address configured in the Device list for the IP Host device matches theaddress configured on the IP Host device. Make corrections to the CyberSWITCH’sconfiguration (using theiproute change Manage Mode command), or to the IP Host’sconfiguration, as required.Problem:The remote IP Host connected to a WAN RLAN interface on the CyberSWITCH does not receive aping response from the CyberSWITCH LAN interface.Action:1. Verify that the remote IP Host can access the WAN RLAN interface of the CyberSWITCH. Ifthis can be done successfully, continue with the next step.If the remote IP Host is not able to access the WAN RLAN interface, then refer to the precedingproblem and action.2. Verify that the LAN interface is properly initialized. Use theipnetif command (a ManageMode command) to check for the proper LAN interfaceIf the proper interface exists, thencontinue with the next step.If the proper interface does not exist, use CFGEDIT to make the necessary corrections.
