These options include:• configuring PPP• configuring default line protocol• configuring log options• configuring system compression options• configuring TFTP• configuring file attributesPPP C ONFIGURATIONCONFIGURING PPPNote: A thorough understanding of PPP protocol is required before you attempt to change thePPP configuration. By changing the PPP configuration, you are changing the PPP protocolnegotiation parameters. These parameters only need to be changed when you areattempting to interoperate with devices that do not provide a standard PPPimplementation. Changing these parameters can result in PPP option negotiation failureand the inability to communicate with remote devices. The default parameters areadequate for most sites.U SING CFGEDIT1.
