(At the administration console: if you are in theConnection Monitor window, exit to the “[System Name] >” prompt.)1. Enable the call trace messages with thetrace on console command.2. Erase the current system messages using theer console command.3. In a controlled manner, initiate an ISDN connection from the remote device.Action:1. After a connection has been initiated, view the system messages (display system messages byissuing thedr console command). Look for the following call request messages among thesystem messages:In - INCOMING CALL Call Id= Slot = Port= Chans=channel map> Ces= endpoint suffix> Rate= rate>Out - CONNECT Call Id= Id> Slot= #> Port= #> Chans=channel map> Ces= endpoint suffix> ConnId= Id>In - CONNECT Call Id= Slot= Port= Chans=map> Ces= endpoint suffix> ConnId= Id>If the system reports these messages, then continue with the next step.If the system does not report these messages, the remote device is not correctly connecting tothe system. Check and verify the configuration of the remote device.2. If the system displays the following message among the system messages (display systemmessages by issuing thedr console command),Security Rejection-Invalid Calling Line Id - <#>the network is indicating a calling line identifier that is not configured for any valid device inthe system Device list. The number “# ” indicates the actual number presented by the network.3. For Remote Bridge Devices:If the system displays the following messages among the system messages,Security Rejection - Caller did not negotiate securitySecurity Rejection - No Bridge Address given by callerSecurity Rejection - Unknown Calling BridgeSecurity Rejection - No Password given by callerSecurity Rejection - Invalid Password givenSecurity Rejection - HDLC not supported by the callerreview the system configuration for the Device List.
