USER’S GUIDE266 CyberSWITCHIPX NET WARE STATIC SERVICES CONFIGURATION ELEMENTSS ERVICE N AMESpecifies the NetWare service name that is the target of this static service definition. This parameteris a 48 character NetWare service name.S ERVICE T YPEIndicates the type of NetWare service that is the target of this static service definition. You mayenter the hexadecimal service type value, or request a list of common service types. Some commonNetWare service types are• 0x0004 File Server• 0x0005 Job Server• 0x0007 Print Server• 0x0009 Archive Server• 0x0047 Advertising Print Server• 0xFFFF All ServicesIPX NETWORK NUMBERThe IPX network number where the service is located. This parameter is a hexadecimal value from1 to 4 bytes in length.IPX NODE NUMBERThe IPX node number of the NetWare device where the service is located. This parameter is ahexadecimal value 6 bytes in length.IPX SOCKET NUMBERThe IPX socket number where the service is located. This parameter is a hexadecimal value 2 bytesin length. Some common IPX Socket numbers are:• 0x0451 NetWare Core Protocol (File Server)• 0x0452 Service Advertising protocol• 0x0453 Routing Information protocol• 0x0455 NetBIOS Protocol• 0x0456 Diagnostic packet• 0x0457 Serialization PacketNUMBER OF HOPSIndicates the number of routers that are traversed in order to reach this Service. This number isused to calculate the best route to the destination Service when multiple routes exists. Thisparameter is a decimal value from 1 to 15.SAP PROPAGATIONIndicates how the system will advertise the NetWare Service defined by this static service entry. Ifyou choose “Do not Propagate”, the system will not advertise this service table entry at any time.If you choose “Always Propagate”, the system will advertise this service table entry as part of thenormal service table advertisement protocol processing. If you choose “Propagate only when theNext Hop is connected”, the system will only advertise this route table entry if the destinationnetwork is reachable over the WAN and the next hop device for the route entry is activelyconnected to the system.
