Contact your Distributor or CustomerSupport.ENABLING THE RELAY AGENTProblem:The following message appears in the report log (after system initialization, or after the DHCP/BOOTP Relay Agent has been enabled from MANAGE mode):[DHCP-R] Failed to open UDP port (67), erc = return code>Action:This message indicated that an internal error occurred while trying to open a UDP port for use bythe DHCP/BOOTP Relay Agent. Therefore, the relay agent will not operate correctly. Contact yourDistributor or Customer Support.Problem:The following message is NOT found in the report log after system initialization:[DHCP-R] Relay Agent enabled; UDP port (67) openedAction:This situation indicates that there was no attempt made to enable the DHCP/BOOTP Relay Agent.1. Check the DHCP configuration. This can be done by using CFGEDIT, or by using thedhcpcommand from Manage Mode.2. Make sure that the Relay Agent is enabled.3. If desired, enter MANAGE mode, and use thedhcp change command to enable the RelayAgent. (Note: CFGEDIT can also be used to change the Relay Agent configuration; but thechanges will not take effect until the system is restarted.)4. When Manage Mode is exited, an attempt will be made to enable the Relay Agent.5. Re-examine the report log for the “Relay Agent Enabled” message.6. Remember to “commit” the Manage Mode configuration changes to make them permanent.
